Syringa Networks says it will expand the optical fiber communication networks to more Idaho communities. This will provide the communities access to high speed communication services. The rural communities will experience the advantages fiber optic communication.
Syringa Networks is a privately held Idaho corporation and is headquartered in Boise, Idaho. Syringa Networks have offices in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and West Valley City, Utah. The fiber optic network expansion will include the communities of Bliss, Gooding, Shoshone, Dietrich, and Wendell, Idaho.
The company says the multi-million dollar project has already been awarded and the deployment has begun. The fiber optic network construction is scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2012.
It is estimated that the expansion of the fiber optic network will consist of 70 miles of highcount fiber cables installed underground and connected to the company's existing 400 Gbps backbone optical network. With the current expansion of the fiber optic networks, Syringa will be able deliver faster, reliable and competitive communication services to the schools, healthcare facilities and businesss establishments in the region.
Optical fiber based communication services will bring more business to the region by opening more opportunities to a broad section of the society. Syringa Networks expansion of the networks provide high speed broadband services to the communities in Idaho. Thus Syringa Networks has shown its commitment to the society.
Bringing fiber optic network to the rural areas need the real commitment. As we have discussed in previous posts also, rural deployment demand more cost, which is almost seven times costlier than building a fiber optic network in the metropolitan area. Investing in next generation networks in the rural area is risky at the side of the investor as the return of investment is much slow in rural area. While other providers talk about investing in the state at large, they tend to focus their dollars on major population centers. Syringa Networks has been very specific with the investment and their commitment to the rural communities.
Construction of the optical fiber networks will create more jobs in the region and act as a catalyst to the economical growth. It will also attract more businesses to the area. Studies have shown that broadband will help improving the GDP of a country.
